How to avoid the swelling of your abdomen?

When waking up in the morning the stomach has a normal size; at breakfast it increases a bit and after eating it becomes so hot that it looks like a ball; with this comes discomfort that makes it impossible to perform many activities, although it can also be prevented.

Some advice:

-Procura moderate to the maximum the consumption of salt and even more on hot days and humidity that already cause the accumulation of liquids . If you add excess sodium to it, not only will it not be good for your heart but it will cause you more swelling and fluid retention .

- Avoid drinking liquids during meals , since they dilute the gastric juices in charge of processing food. Ideally, take them after eating and throughout the day to activate intestinal transit.

- Omit soft drinks such as soft drinks, because in the stomach they are mixed with solid foods, hindering their digestion . Also, moderate the consumption of alcoholic beverages while you eat.

- Certain punctual foods favor the production of gases such as legumes, cauliflower, broccoli, artichokes, fatty foods, among others. And, by causing more flatulence, they also cause more swelling and discomfort so if you plan a day at the beach, it will be better to avoid them on that occasion.

- Do not abuse condiments ]spices or spicy. Use the necessary and resort to aromatic herbs, such as basil, which has beneficial effects on digestion.

- Fiber stimulates intestinal activity so it also avoids constipation and inflammation of the abdomen. Also make sure you drink enough water with your fiber-rich meals, so the elimination will be faster. Example: cereals, products based on wholemeal flours; vegetables and raw vegetables (spinach, lettuce, squash, carrot) and fruit (apple, pineapple, orange, raspberry, mango, fig and plum).
